Accounts Payable Specialist Recruitment Partners is looking for a career AP professional. Our client has an excellent reputation in the Edmonton market, is adding to their accounting team – this is an amazing opportunity as my client does not hire often, they have amazing retention!
This AP role is more robust than the average AP position – and while high volume is a prerequisite, experience with complex AP transactions will be just as important.
Your success will be defined by your ability to: - Code and process a high volume of invoices
- Lead the process of subcontractor progress billings, invoices, and holdback releases
- Review for completeness: invoicing, including statutory declarations, WCB clearance letters, and insurance documentation
- Schedule, and prepare payment of invoices
- High volume of processing and reconciling of 20+ credit card transactions
- Create files for vendors, reconcile vendor statements, and respond to all vendor inquiries
- Subcontract administration
- Various administrative duties
Your strengths include: - 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred)
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and employees
- Accuracy and attention to detail is required
- Experience working with Sage 300 and Timberscan an asset
