Senior Tax Analyst
Recruitment Partners is on the search for an experienced
Senior Tax Analyst to join our client’s team. The Senior Tax Analyst will assist in tax planning, tax research, interpreting new tax legislation, and transaction work. This role would be ideal for an applicant who is results-driven, accountable and brings solutions to the table and demonstrates an action-oriented can-do approach.
Your success will be defined by your ability to: - Prepare annual tax filings such as income tax returns, partnership information returns, information slips etc
- Prepare monthly federal and provincial commodity/excise and carbon tax filings
- Research and prepare technical memos to support tax filings, audits, transactions and other tax work as required
- Responding to tax audits as required
- Provide support to accounting staff in maintaining legal entity financial statements and provisions
Your strengths include: - Bachelor’s degree and a Chartered Professional Accountant designation
- 3 + years’ experience in corporate tax, specializing in oil and gas preferred
- Completion of level 2 of the CICA In-depth Tax Course considered an asset
- Knowledge of IFRS – particularly accounting for income taxes
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying the Income Tax Act (Canada) in transactions, audits, and filings
