Infrastructure Analyst
 
Are you an experienced Infrastructure Analyst looking to prove yourself in a thriving organization? Recruitment Partners is searching for an individual with a demonstrated customer focus to assist clients with hardware and software issues.
 
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Manage all infrastructure and monitoring tools to enable ideal performance and ensure that components of the disaster recovery infrastructure and technical plans are maintained.
  • Provide expert knowledge and direction in IT infrastructure operations and controls, ensuring reliability of the servers and data storage.
  • Perform system administration for on-prem and cloud infrastructure resources – AD, Databases, IIS servers, Azure, Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Ensuring the security of servers and data, maintaining software licenses and server inventory and that security patches/patch levels are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring systems and responding to operational incidents.
  • Formulating, documenting and updating standard procedures for system administration.
  • Perform site configuration, monitoring, and deployment of network systems – Meraki.
  • Build, provision and configure physical and virtual server systems and hosts.
  • Maintain integrity of server systems with version upgrades and patch maintenance.
  • Monitor network and server systems for error, capacity or performance characteristics.
  • Perform troubleshooting and investigate server and network infrastructure performance issues.
  • Ensure backup processes are in place, monitor logs and perform recovery operations.
  • Identifying areas for enterprise-wide system improvements and upgrades, including trending analysis and capacity planning.
  • Provide subject matter expertise related to enterprise server, datacenter, and cloud environments focusing on compute and storage.
  • Participate in server, datacenter, and cloud related incident management and post incident review process.
  • Contribute to CMDB maintenance, focused on compute and storage environment documentation.
  • Analyze compute and storage reports, capacity and metrics across compute and storage ecosystems and escalate or inquire as appropriate.
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and Virtual Private Cloud.
Your strengths include:
  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology management including industry specific technical or leadership certifications.
  • Experience supporting compute and storage platforms in a datacenter environment.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in comparable role with at least 4 years of recent experience managing Cloud services.
  • Understanding of holistic infrastructure and security designs, including being able to provide consult to how those could apply to application design requirements.
  • Experience working with managed service providers, cloud services, hosted solutions and Windows server environments.
  • Experience creating and review technical documentation.
  • Solid analytical skills, experience solving practical issues and engaging cross functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of distributed systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Infrastructure support background: Virtualization, DNS, DHCP, data backup, disaster recovery, databases, IIS servers including high availability configurations.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with business partners, management, vendors and technical teams.
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and Virtual Private Cloud.
  • Detailed knowledge of VMware virtual infrastructure technologies.
  • Detailed knowledge of Meraki network and Dell Storage and Server solutions.
  • Leads discussion with business stakeholders and suggests holistic solutions/improvements for both technical strategy and business process.
  • 4+ years of experience in Cloud transformation initiatives, that can include one or more of the following: Implementing Cloud services platforms – IaaS, PaaS etc., Designing/prototyping multi cloud services on Amazon, Google and/or Microsoft, using VM services or Kubernetes engines, migrations from and to Red Hat or VMware.
