Financial and Systems Analyst Our team is on the search for a Financial and Systems Analyst, with excellent analytical skills and an inquisitive mind! Our client is searching for a Financial Analyst who has an affinity for data and questions the status quo and makes recommendations for improvements! The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling that will support strategic planning.
Your success will be defined by your ability to: - Participate in sensitivity analysis to determine impact of changes to underlying assumptions in the annual and strategic plan.
- Assist with identifying process improvements and efficiencies of current financial process.
- Analyze the profitability, projections, and other financial modelling to support decision making, financial feasibility and new business initiatives.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate, comprehensive, clear, and concise financial reports.
- Act as system administrator for all financial systems including, but not limited to: Sage 300, RBC Express, Moneris, Workiva.
- Assist with analysis of financial statements, forecasts, and agency & administration fees as required.
- Maintain set up, end user and security documentation related to financial systems and corresponding business processes.
- Assist and drive ad hoc projects for senior management and the executive team.
Your strengths include: - University Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
- 5 + years experience with systems implantation and/or systems administration.
- CPA designation or equivalent project management/ systems analyst experience.
- Experience in managing and interpreting large amounts of data.
- Experience using financial modelling and analysis to help solve problems.
- High competent computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project Management).
- A self-starter with initiative to learn new tools and teach them to the rest of the team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current Canadian accounting standards under ASPE.
- Advanced Excel skills including regular use of functions, pivot tables, etc. VBA experience is an asset.
