Asset Management Accountant
Our client is looking for an Asset Management Accountant to join their team in Edmonton. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience working with a team, and an acute attention to detail.
Your success will be defined by your ability to: - Prepare funding requests and communications for both income-producing properties and development projects.
- Conduct cash flow reforecasting for development and income-producing properties as needed.
- Prepare income and equity distributions along with relevant communications.
- Calculate and reforecast quarterly fees.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly client reporting packages.
- Set up online wire transfers of income distributions to clients.
- Collaborate with external auditors on annual audits, reviews, and other assurance requirements for client entities.
- Communicate with clients' accounting representatives on accounting policy decisions and applications.
- Assist in appraisal preparations for income-producing and development assets.
- Be a key contributor to the preparation and review of annual budgets.
- Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned.
Your strengths include: - Completion of an accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA) is considered an asset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
- Exhibit strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Excel in a collaborative team environment while also possessing the capability to take initiative and work autonomously.
- Highly collaborative and self-motivated.
- Possess intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Property management experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with Yardi is considered an asset.
