Talent Acquisition Specialist - Technology

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Act as an ambassador of the organization
  • Be in charge of the full cycle recruitment; from role creation through to onboarding
  • Review and assess candidate resumes and conduct interviews with candidates
  • Participate in employee selection meetings by assessing and advising leadership on candidate’s suitability for available positions
  • Conduct reference and background checks
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team for account provisioning, asset tracking, and equipment sign-out procedures
  • Through a comprehensive job-intake process create and maintain company job descriptions
  • Manage third party recruitment sites and vendor relationships to ensure consistent employer branding across all channels and effective use of site campaigns to recruit talent
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to utilize other social media streams to convey employer branding and attract top talent
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, colleges and other recruiting channels
  • Create and maintain company specific training and on-boarding material for new hires
  • Continually assess and improve hiring practices to ensure efficient and inclusive practices are used
Your strengths include:
  • Minimum 5+ years in Technology Recruitment 
  • Knowledge of all full life-cycle recruiting components, including sourcing, qualifying, networking, and assessing candidate skills
  • A depth of knowledge in recruiting for technology roles, including fluency in understanding industry jargon, skill sets and assessing candidate skill sets as it relates to technical job functions
  • Familiar with federal, provincial, and state employment standards, human rights, and employment legislation
  • Experience in international recruitment for both LMIA and LMIA exempt positions
  • Tech savvy with high proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams).
