The Service Manager will provide and maintain excellent customer service and be the frontline service contact for our external customers. The Service Manager is responsible for managing the service department team, handling customer interactions, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining strong relationships with customers and third-party vendors.
Your success will be determined by your ability to:
Lead and motivate a trained staff to provide quality service to all customers in a timely manner
Serve as the key liaison to sales and management to ensure consistent customer satisfaction
Provide status and service reports to recommend next steps to management
Direct an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of KPI's, and maintenance of service records
Supervise Service Writers, Service Technicians, Shop Foremen, and Lead Hands
Ensure staff compliance with company Health & Safety programs
Hire, mentor, coach, and enable staff to achieve goals and to develop first-class Customer Service skills
Grow Service sales by actively looking for new opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business
Ensure that the Service Department is meeting or exceeding Service Standards
Review and approve Accounts Payable invoices and Employee expense reports for service department
Your strengths include:
Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician or equivalent experience is a must
5-10 years of experience as a Service Manager
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems related to Medium and Heavy Duty Trucks would be a huge asset
