Recruitment Partners is on the search for a Senior Treasury Analyst to join our esteemed client’s team. This position is a confidential search in the energy sector, and will report to the Manager, Pricing and Analysis. This role will be key in facilitating daily Treasury activities, helping to drive long-term strategic Treasury initiatives, and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Treasury Analyst will be actively involved in the cash management, treasury compliance, and treasury reporting functions. In addition, the Senior Treasury Analyst with collaborate with the Manager and Chief Financial Officer in developing and monitoring strategic direction through the update of the corporate budget and forecasting models
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with cash management activities including daily cash forecasting, wire payments, intercompany transfers and foreign exchange
Monitor bank accounts and create, review and post journal entries for treasury activities
Responsible for the preparation and update of the corporation’s annual budget and forecast process
Perform counterparty credit reviews, monitor and administer the credit security positions
Collaborate with business units to implement and coordinate accurate budget and forecast processes
Support financial reporting requirements
Produce data, reports and dashboards using applications
Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives
Respond to ad hoc requests for information and analysis, assist with special projects as required
Qualifications and Skills:
A post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required
Preference will be given to candidates with a professional accounting designation (CPA), CFA or CTP
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience with cash management activities and other related treasury functions in the Oil & Gas industry
Direct knowledge of cash management, foreign exchange, hedging instruments, and risk management
Proven counterparty credit risk experience
Demonstrated experience in modelling for business decision making, including budgeting and forecast processes
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) applications, competency in excel modeling is critical
