The candidate would be responsible to support the organization in all aspects of enterprise-wide risk management, internal controls within various programs in the organization.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
Assist in the analysis of the risks associated with current internal programs, performing ongoing evaluation to adhere to the evolving organizational changes.
Support in the development of the ERM system for the organization. Assist in the development of methodologies for the assessment of risks throughout the organization.
Review controls, processes, and risks ensuring assist in the preparation of the risk management action plan. Assist in tracking key risks, designing and implementing an overall risk management process including an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur.
Conduct policy and compliance audits and liaise with internal and external auditors as required.
Obtain an understanding of the controls for each business unit by preparing flowcharts and assisting in the documenting of the internal controls.
Developing and maintaining effective testing procedures and processes and evaluate the design and operational effectiveness.
Assist with monitoring and evaluating Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, from both a design effectiveness and operating effectiveness perspective.
Maintain and uphold existing internal controls procedures and identify and recommend opportunities for internal controls improvements.
Assist in reviewing and updating financial policies and procedures as required.
Your strengths include:
An accounting designation, CPA, CRM or working on the CIA
2+ years of relevant work experience in a similar position
Strong knowledge of IFRS
Maintain positive interpersonal relationships
A demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at once
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Works excellent in a team environment and is highly collaborative
Advanced working knowledge of Excel and excellent analytical skills
Working well under pressure
