Business Development Sales Representative

Our Building Materials and Distribution client is searching for a motivated Business Development Sales Representative to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have an aptitude for identifying growth opportunities and the ability to broker their successful implementation. The candidate will report directly to the General Manager.

 Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Work with General Manager to monitor target customers extensively in the market and develop strategies for acquiring and maintaining their business
  • Analyze new products and product lines to ensure the company is offering the fullest and most successful array of products to customers
  • Hunting, Cold calling and prospecting new business
  • Work with the General Manager to assess existing customer needs and satisfaction levels in order to maintain customer loyalty and identify the potential for growth
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver sales driven targets
  • Ensure the underlying consistency of all marketing, media, and promotion
  Your strengths include:
  • 2+ years’ proven sales experience
  • Have a strong construction background and a have a thorough understanding of residential and light commercial wood frame construction would be an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of blueprints
  • Strong written and oral communications skills to communicate effectively with all levels of operation are a must
  • Proficient with computers, CRM’s, sales forecasting, and budgeting
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-motivated, with a high energy, and an engaging level of enthusiasm is an asset.
